Jewish-Christian Relations After Oct. 7th & the War in Gaza
Friday, October 24th • Kol Ami
5:30pm Dinner • 6:30pm Service • 7:30pm Program
The issue of Israel-Palestine has always proved challenging to Jewish-Christian relations around the world—but never more so than since October 7th and the ensuing war in Gaza. Sixty years after Nostra Aetate, the war has placed immense strain on interreligious relations worldwide.
Join us for an important evening of reflection and conversation. The evening will begin with dinner at 5:30pm, followed by our Erev Shabbat service at 6:30pm. Our program will begin at 7:30pm.
Please RSVP for dinner below! Registration closes October 23rd
Kol Ami Members: $12 per adult, $7 per child ages 3–12
Guests: $15 per adult, $8 per child ages 3–12
Hana Bendcowsky (Israeli-Jewish) and John Munayer (Palestinian-Christian), two interfaith educators and dialogue practitioners from the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue in Jerusalem, will be visiting the United States to mark the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the groundbreaking Vatican II document that transformed Jewish-Christian relations.
