Conversational Modern Hebrew

Classes begin on October 26th
Sundays • 11:10am – 12:00pm • In-Person at Kol Ami
Eight classes, October 26th – December 21st (no class on November 30th)

In this class, taught by Janna Zamir, we’ll prepare to explore Israel like a tzabar (native). Whether you’re chatting with your Uber driver, following a tour guide, or ordering your favorite dish in a local restaurant, we’ll work on mastering the basics of the Hebrew language.

Janna's teaching style is informal and engaging—she loves encouraging students to speak up and take part in lively dialogues, monologues, and conversations, all in Hebrew (with a little taste of “Spanglish”).

Open to adults ages 18+, this class is held in person, so we can connect, read each other’s expressions, and fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Hebrew language.

Kol Ami Members/Current Intro Students: $100 for modern, $180 for both biblical and modern
Guests: $200 for modern, $360 for both biblical and modern
+ $30 for the book, "Alef Isn't Tought," if needed for Beginner Biblical Hebrew
