JOIN US FOR A HIKE!

Join our Kol Ami Outdoors group for a hike in Big Cottonwood Canyon! This moderate, 2.8-mile out-and-back trail takes approximately two hours to complete. Starting above 9,000 feet of elevation, short portions of the trail are steep and rocky. Leashed dogs are allowed on most of this trail, but are not allowed at the lake. Location given with RSVP.

Important notes: Check the weather for appropriate gear, bring plenty of water, and please plan to arrive at the parking lot 15 minutes early so we can assemble and begin the hike at 8:00am.

This group is open only to members of Kol Ami or those enrolled in our Introduction to Jewish Life course. While there is no cost, donations are greatly appreciated. We organize outdoor activities—such as hikes—with fellow congregants, exploring the beautiful natural spaces we cherish here in Utah. Grounded in Jewish values and focused on building relationships, we aim to host monthly activities that celebrate Utah’s beauty while strengthening our community.
