Mitzvah Day

All Day

This year the Rafi Schwartz Religious School is co-sponsoring Mitzvah Day with the Social Action Network.  It will take place during the morning of January 14th. Some of the activities that we have planned include:

Red Cross Blood Drive – watch the weekly bulletin for sign-up information. Thank you to Jim Ireland for coordinating this life-saving Mitzvah for another year!

Project Linus, which makes blankets for kids undergoing medical treatment. This is a great family project for school-age children.  Thank you to Nicole Fenwick for again running this project!

After a hiatus last year, we once again will be making sandwiches for the homeless. Thanks to Boaz Markwitz for organizing this activity!

Stop by the library and join Matthew Weinstein in writing letters to our legislators. Matthew will make sure that these letters are presented as a group of voices from the Jewish community. You do not need to be of voting age – even a kid can write a letter in favor of clean air!
