A Taste of Sukkot

Sunday, September 19th
4:00 pm – 5:15 pm • Kol Ami Sukkah
The High Holidays are just the beginning of the “awesomeness” yet to follow. Help the Kol Ami clergy continue the wonderful momentum they are building as we head into the fall festivals of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah.
Please come to an engaging learning session focused on the joyful holiday of Sukkot, on Sunday, September 19th, from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm at Kol Ami. Rabbi Sam Spector will give us a brief history of Sukkot and how Sukkot is still relevant for us today; Cantor Sharon Brown-Levy will teach us a song or two, from festival Hallel, and show us how to wave the lulav and etrog; Helene Cuomo will delve into the sensory aspect of the holiday, including a sampling of Sukkot themed foods.
There will be a fun, hands-on children’s learning session led by former Hadassah Training Wheels teacher and currently a principal in the Granite School District, Sharon Sonnenreich. She is excited to heighten each child’s sense of curiosity about this holiday while parents participate with the Rabbi and Cantor.
Come and meet new people in a more intimate setting with the Rabbi and Cantor, while building upon your
Jewish knowledge. Our time together will be fun, entertaining, and mind-boggling. See you then!
Pease RSVP to helenecuomo@gmail.com!
COVID-19 vaccination required for those over the age of 12.
