THE KOL AMI CONNECTION BEGINS WITH YOU!

Dear Chaverim,

“Upon returning to the sanctuary for the first time in over a year, I was smiling so brightly that not even a mask could contain my joyful expression!” —Greg Saunders, President-Elect, Board of Trustees

It has been a long 14 months since we were able to come together as a community to pray, study, laugh,
and schmooze at Congregation Kol Ami. Yet during this time of uncertainty, we were able to remain connected to each other through weekly live streaming of services, virtual religious school, and new adult education programming. We came together for Zoom holiday celebrations and community gatherings like Synagogue Night Live. We were even able to continue providing hands-on outreach by delivering over 350 gift bags for Rosh Hashanah, Mishloach Manot for Purim, and continuing the Chanukah for All program for families in need and seniors who needed to know they were in our thoughts.

Now that more and more Utahns are getting the Covid-19 vaccination, WE HAVE A REOPENING PLAN IN PLACE AND YOUR INVESTMENT IN KOL AMI WILL HELP US BRING OUR COMMUNITY BACK TOGETHER! The pandemic affected our normal fundraising efforts and your investment in our reopening supports a safe and welcoming environment within our sanctuary where we continue the work of inclusion and care that is reflected in our mission and vision. Much time, attention, and additional funds are needed to make our reopening a success; and because of that WE NEED YOUR INVESTMENT IN OUR REOPENING!

“Since I don’t live near the synagogue, virtual services have allowed me to participate more frequently than I could have before. I have formed many incredible friendships with my peers in the Introduction to Jewish Life online course that have helped me grow in so many ways. I look forward to a lifetime of Jewish education and fellowship with my Kol Ami community!”  — Tessa Vaschel, Intro Student and Recent Convert

Your support is appreciated at any level, and we are asking for you to be as generous as possible to make our reopening successful. There are many costs associated with keeping our community safe, including sanitization and PPE. For those who want to continue to stay at home we will also maintain our Zoom and live stream services, classes, and events.
