Taking Flight: A Look at the Science Behind the Next Generation of Airplanes

Thursday, August 12th at 11:00 am on Zoom
Join us for this interactive virtual event in collaboration with the United Jewish Federation of Utah, Temple Har Shalom, and the American Technion Society.
The American Technion Society supports the growth and success of the Technion—Israel's Institute of Technology which is a global innovation powerhouse. This special program will feature how Prof. Raveh and her team are the leading the way in aerospace innovation—and are yet another example of how the Technion in Israel has an outsized impact on shaping the technologies of the future.

Professor Daniella Raveh ’92, Ph.D.’99 focuses her research in the area of aeroelasticity, the interaction between aerodynamic forces and flexible structures. She earned her Technion degrees in aeronautical and aerospace engineering, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology before joining the Technion in 2001. The American Technion Society supports visionary education and world-changing impact through the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology. Our investments in the Technion’s growth and innovation advance critical research and technologies that serve the State of Israel and the global good.
