The Sofer Will be at Kol Ami to Repair and Renew Our Sifrei Torahs
Sofer on Site is coming to Congregation Kol Ami the week of July 17th! Rabbi Druin will be coming to our community from Miami to repair our Torah scrolls.
Join us for a special opportunity to sponsor the writing of the Kol Ami Torah Scrolls! You can help in restoring our sacred Torah Scrolls and fulfill the beautiful mitzvah of writing a Torah. Dedicate a letter, word, verse, portion, book, or Torah for yourself, your family, or in memory of family or friends. Reserve your unique chance to assist the Sofer in inscribing your sponsored portion, book, or Torah.
There are different levels of giving to support this large endeavor. With every donation your name will be featured in our High Holiday acknowledgments. We appreciate your support!
All are welcome to come visit the synagogue and see Rabbi Druin in action as he repairs our Torah scrolls on Wednesday, July 20th at 6:00 pm.
ALEF GADOL — $36
Sponsor a letter of the Torah being written and receive acknowledgment in our High Holiday insert.
D'VAR TORAH — $72
Sponsor a word of Torah. You will receive a framed certificate with a word written by Rabbi Druin in Torah font that he repaired in our Torah. You will also receive acknowledgment in High Holiday insert.
PASUK— $180
Sponsor a verse of Torah. You will receive a framed certificate with a verse written by Rabbi Druin in Torah font that he repaired in our Torah. You will receive acknowledgment as well in our High Holiday insert.
PARSHA— $500
Sponsor a portion of Torah, such as one from your or your child’s b’nai mitzvah. You will be invited to come and write a letter in the Torah portion of your choosing. At that week’s Torah portion in the next year, you will receive acknowledgment in the Shabbat announcements and be called up for an aliyah (sponsors who are not Jewish will be given an ark opening). In addition, you will receive a framed certificate with the name of the portion written by Rabbi Druin in Torah font. You will receive acknowledgment as well in our High Holiday insert.
SEFER SUPPORTER — $1800
Sponsor one of the five books of the Torah. You will be invited to come and write a letter in the book of Torah of your choosing. At the week we begin that book of Torah for the next three years, you will receive acknowledgment in the Shabbat announcements and be called up for an aliyah (sponsors who are not Jewish will be given an ark opening). In addition, you will receive a framed certificate with the name of the book written by Rabbi Druin in Torah font. You will receive acknowledgment as well in our High Holiday insert. You and friends will also receive three private Torah classes with Rabbi Spector.
HERO OF THE TORAH — $9000
Sponsor an entire Torah scroll! You will be invited to come and write a letter in the Torah scroll of your choosing. For the next three years, you will receive acknowledgment in the Shabbat announcements and be called up for an aliyah (sponsors who are not Jewish will be given an ark opening) at a Torah portion of your choosing and receive special acknowledgment at Simchat Torah. In addition, you will receive a framed certificate with the word Torah written by Rabbi Druin in Torah font. We will also replace the Torah cover with a cover that acknowledges the benefactor. You will receive acknowledgment as well in our High Holiday insert. You and friends will also receive five private Torah classes with Rabbi Spector and you and your family will be treated to a dinner of your choosing with Rabbi Spector.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 20TH

All are invited to come and watch Rabbi Druin work followed by a Q&A and a teaching with him.
