A Message from our Sushi Chef
こんばんは and good evening Kol Ami community members and friends! For those who don’t know me, I’m Benjamin Torres. I’ve been a member at the synagogue for about 4 years now, and currently just about finished with my conversion process. I’ve cooked and made Japanese cuisine my whole life, but specialized in sushi for about 3 years. I proudly work at Kyoto Japanese restaurant where I continue working on my craft every day. I’m very happy to share some of my knowledge with all of you. As a concerted effort from me, our wonderful administration at Kol Ami and our Rabbi I truly hope you have fun at our Sake & Sushi in the Sukkah event! I currently have some fun sake and sushi pairings in the works now and I am really looking forward to seeing you all soon!
毎度おおきに!
-Benjamin T.
