Latke Making Class

Come learn how to make classic Chanukah latkes! Join us as we fry together for Kol Ami upcoming Chanukah events—and take home a plateful of delicious latkes for yourself.

Rosh Chodesh Chanukah Party

Join us for Rosh Chodesh's annual “My Favorite Things” event! This warm and joyful December tradition brings our women’s community together for an evening of sharing, connection, and a little bit of surprise. We’ll enjoy a light latke dinner and dessert, followed by our always-delightful gift exchange/Yankee swap. Each participant is invited to bring one wrapped item you personally love, costing $20 or less.

Waldorf Astoria Park City Hanukkah Celebration
Monday, December 15th • 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Grand Lobby at Waldorf Astoria Park City

Gather with us on the second evening of the Festival of Lights for a meaningful celebration of tradition and community. Rabbi Sam Spector will lead a menorah lighting ceremony, accompanied by klezmer music and housemade petite latkes elevated with caviar.

Join us for a light lunch and learning session with Rabbi Spector and guest speaker Jessica Lowe, President/Founder of Be a Little Too Kind, a nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City.

Candle Lighting with SLC Mayor Mendenhall
Wednesday, December 17th • 6:30pm
Celebrate the fourth night of Chanukah with a special community candle lighting alongside Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, Rabbi Sam Spector of Congregation Kol Ami, and Alex Shapiro, Director of the United Jewish Federation of Utah. Join the Utah Jewish community for an evening of light, joy, donuts, and dreidels!

Tot Shabbat
Friday, December 19th • 5:00pm – 5:30pm
Join Rabbi Sam Spector and Cantor Adam Davis for a fun, half-hour service of Shabbat and Chanukah songs and stories! This program is for our younger children (typically age 7 and under) and their families. It is a great way to engage your child with the traditions and meaning of Shabbat.

A Special Chanukah Family Shabbat Dinner & Service with Consecration

Join us for a special Chanukah Shabbat dinner, service, and celebration! Our evening will begin at 5:30pm with a kid-friendly Shabbat dinner followed by our special Chanukah Shabbat service including Consecration of our young religious school students formally marking the beginning of their Jewish education.

Chag HaBanot

Chag HaBanot (Festival of the Daughters), is traditionally observed by women in North African Jewish communities. It is a beautiful opportunity to honor the women in our community, share traditions, and celebrate together. This special service and Kiddush are a wonderful way to come together, but we need your help to make them truly spectacular. Your participation, whether in the service or the kitchen, is invaluable and makes a significant difference in creating a warm, welcoming, and meaningful experience for everyone.
