Please join Rabbi Sam Spector and Martin Tannenbaum for an exploration of this siddur. Martin (or “Marty" as we call him in Salt Lake) grew up in Salt Lake City as a third generation Utah Jew. He was one of the contributing editors of Siddur Sha'ar Zahav, a groundbreaking LGBTQ+ inspired siddur. He is a member of both Congregation Kol Ami and Sha'ar Zahav in San Francisco and is active in Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities and causes. Marty is an experienced educator with a deep passion for racial and social justice. A former corporate executive, he now consults with national organizations and leads the creation of educational and instructional resources, workshops, and more. He lives in San Francisco with his husband, Alex Ingersoll.

The siddur is available for purchase in hard copy and e-book format at shaarzahav.org/our-siddur

Ahead of this learning session, we encourage you to explore and consider: What’s different?  What’s familiar? What speaks to you?
