Interfaith Pride Service at Kol Ami
Thursday, May 30th • 7:00pm • Congregation Kol Ami
The Pride Interfaith Worship Service has kicked off the Pride Festival for more than two decades. It is a time of celebration, reflection, prayer, memorial, music and love as the many faith traditions that are expressly welcoming to and fully inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community come together to "queer faith" in the hope that our arms might open wider still. This year's theme is "Queering Faith."

Queer Variety Power Hour!
Sunday, June 9th • 4:00pm – 6:00pm • Congregation Kol Ami

Are you an LGBTQ+ community member who has something gay and Jewish to share or perform? Pride Month is fast approaching, and this year the Kol Ami Social Action Committee is exploring something new: A Queer Variety Power Hour! (Aka, a talent show!) If we get enough commitments of participation now, it will take place as part of a series of Kol Ami Pride Month events.

This event would be an opportunity for LGBTQ+ members of our community to share something that speaks to their experience as a queer Jew. Do you play an instrument? Have you always wanted to declaim a rousing speech about being gay and Jewish? Do you have a Shabbat-bride themed drag persona you’ve been waiting to show off? Please let us know if you’re interested and available by filling out this form

This event will only take place if we have enough people who are interested in performing, so please don’t hesitate—we absolutely would love to have you!
