Interfaith Pride Service with Rabbi Spector

Pride Erev Shabbat Service and Dinner At The Shul
Friday, June 2nd • beginning at 6:30 pm • Congregation Kol Ami
Join us for a special Erev Shabbat Pride service using Siddur Sha’ar Zahav, the first LGBTQIA+ prayer book. Immediately following services, join us for a community Shabbat dinner ($10 per adult, $5 per child). Please make sure to RSVP and pay by 1:00 pm on June 1st!

Pride and Pronouns: Transgender Jewish Identity in Utah
Wednesday, June 14th • 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm • Congregation Kol Ami
Join us for a panel discussion that will strive to educate our members about transgender etiquette, Jewish teaching, and laws/policies in Utah. Moderated by Rabbi Samuel L. Spector, panelists will include Olivia Jaramillo from Equality Utah who will talk about the rules of trans and trans etiquette; Lilah Rosenfield on the Jewish transition ceremony she created while in college; and Prof. Terry Kogan on the recent legal changes in Utah impacting trans people and their families—especially trans youth. Thank you to the United Jewish Federation of Utah for co-sponsoring this event.
