Kol Ami Jewish Camp Fair & Scholarships
Sunday, February 2nd • 12:00pm – 2:00pm
immediately following religious school in the Social Hall
Come and visit with 10 summer camps across the U.S. Visit all camps in attendance and enter our raffle!
Children who attend Jewish summer camps are considerably more likely to retain a strong Jewish identity and affiliation than children who do not. Kol Ami has a scholarship program supported by Kol Ami Trust and the Kol Ami General Fund to help to send our children to approved Jewish overnight camps with an incentive of $750 per week for first-time campers and $500 per week for second-year campers in addition to needs-based scholarships. This program is available to children currently enrolled in the RSRS through 11th grade. To apply for any scholarship, the family’s financial obligations to Kol Ami must be current. Applicants will be considered based on the following criteria:
– Financial need
– First-time and second-year applicants, regardless of financial need
– Other financial aid applied for or available to the camper
– Community involvement
Please complete and return the application by February 28, 2025. Checks will be written to the camp or organization. All requests and distributions will be treated confidentially.
In addition to Kol Ami camp scholarships, many camps offer both aid for families with financial need and incentive grants, including special scholarships for first time campers regardless of financial need. Please check camp websites for their specific financial aid packages. See these links for additional information: OneHappyCamper.org; PJ Goes to Camp.
If you want to apply for a scholarship from Kol Ami, please also apply for any other financial aid or scholarship available to your family.
