Understanding Homelessness:
A Conversation with Janida Emerson

Tuesday, November 11th • 6:30pm • Kol Ami

Join Janida Emerson, CEO of Fourth Street Clinic, for a thoughtful discussion on homelessness in Utah, with a focus on the unique challenges faced by women. The conversation will highlight the critical connection between healthcare and housing, the services Fourth Street Clinic provides, and the policy changes shaping care in our community.

We’ll begin with a light dinner, followed by our discussion, and then assemble hygiene kits to support those in need. Whether you’re new to the group or a returning member, we’d love to see you there! Please RSVP below.

We need donations! We're in need of toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons/pads, deodorant, lotion, underwear and disposable underwear, thermal blankets, small bottles of 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner. Donations may be dropped off at Kol Ami during business hours or ordered from our Amazon Wish List and delivered directly to the synagogue.

This group is open only to women* ages 21+, who are members of Kol Ami or are currently enrolled in our Introduction to Jewish Life Course. While there is no cost for this event, donations are greatly appreciated.

*Kol Ami is an inclusive community
