The Kol Ami Book Club

Monday, March 10th • 6:30pm • on Zoom
Join Jared Cohen and fellow community members as we read, relax, and discuss books centered on Jewish themes and authors. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect, reflect on shared perspectives, and discover your next favorite read. Even if you haven't finished the book, please join us! We will meet on the second Monday of each month.
March's book selection:
Kaplan's Plot by Jason Diamond
Kaplan's Plot is Jason Diamond's debut novel, a multi-generational family saga set in Chicago that intertwines the present-day story of a man returning home to his dying mother with the 1920s gangster past of his grandfather, Yitz Kaplan, a Jewish mobster. The narrative follows the son, Elijah, as he uncovers his family's secrets, leading to a deeper understanding and mending of his strained relationship with his mother, Eve, while exploring themes of family, identity, and the American Dream.
If you have any questions, please contact Jared Cohen.
This group is open only to members of Kol Ami or those enrolled in our Introduction to Jewish Life course. While there is no cost, donations are greatly appreciated.
