A Jewish Journey Through the Baltics

Join Rabbi Spector on a powerful and unforgettable journey through the Jewish heart of the Baltics—Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia—where centuries of Jewish learning, resilience, tragedy, and renewal come vividly to life. This meaningful experience is presented by AMIEL Global in partnership with European tour operator BT Touristic.
Our travels begin in Vilnius, once known as the “Jerusalem of Lithuania,” home of the Vilna Gaon. We’ll walk historic Jewish quarters, visit synagogues and museums, and explore breathtaking Old Towns and castles. Along the way, we will bear witness at Holocaust memorials and mass murder sites.
In Kaunas and Vilnius, we encounter stories of courage and conscience, and in Riga—once entirely stripped of its Jewish population—we celebrate the resilience of a renewed and thriving Jewish community. We will welcome Shabbat together with the Jewish community of Riga, sharing ritual, song, and connection across borders.
Our journey continues north to Tallinn, where medieval streets meet a vibrant modern Jewish community. We’ll visit synagogues, cemeteries, and community centers, enjoy meals together, and experience the beauty of Estonia’s coast. A special full-day excursion to Helsinki adds another layer of Jewish and European history, blending culture, architecture, and seaside charm.
Throughout the trip, we travel in comfort—staying in centrally located four-star hotels, enjoying thoughtfully planned meals, and benefiting from expert local guides and a dedicated tour escort. Most importantly, we travel together: as a Kol Ami community, learning, reflecting, celebrating, and deepening our connection to Jewish history and to one another.
This trip is limited to 34 participants. Contact Rabbi Spector or Laura Green with any questions.
