Our Interim Synagogue Director
Jean A. Budinger, M.B.A., was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up on North Shore of Chicago; then her family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona; and San Antonio, Texas. Jean received her undergraduate degree in special education from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Within two years she began graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in administrative medicine, with an emphasis on organizational change. She has more than 30 years of leadership experience, mostly in healthcare organizations. In 1996 Jean received her Master of Business Administration in Executive Management from the UW-Madison.
Jean has worked with individuals and organizations to move towards excellence. She has led successful organizational development teams of healthcare clinicians and administrators, tradesmen, architects and engineers in facilities management. Jean has lived in Salt Lake City since the fall of 2012, and has been an active member at Kol Ami as a congregant, volunteer, and now as the Interim Synagogue Director. She looks forward to serving the congregation, and to working with the Board and staff to move toward a best practices culture throughout Kol Ami.
